Filmmaker Kim Cummings just celebrated the 20th Anniversary of her award-winning short film “Weeki Wachee Girls” with a live YouTube stream party.
With its LGBTQ themes, Pride Month was the perfect time to revisit the film. During its initial release in 2000, it played in over seventy festivals around the world, was picked for three “best of” awards and was a finalist at Taos.
Music in the film is credited to Spottiswoode & McMahon with Jonathan Spottiswoode writing all the tunes and yours truly producing, arranging and mixing. Spottiswoode sang two, I sang one (gulp!), and Chris Marquardt, Amy Fairchild and Renee Cologne sang the others.
