I am a New York City producer, musician, and composer.  I work out of my Bushwick, Brooklyn recording studio – New Warsaw Studio– focusing 20+ years of experience on arranging, recording and performing original music.

Besides guiding hundreds of songs from pre-production to final master, I’ve composed and produced music for an Emmy-winning HBO documentary, a PBS educational series and a national TV commercial, performed live on network TV and syndicated radio, and played gigs across the world from Lincoln Center in NYC to SXSW in Austin to the Lille Music Festival in France.

Got my start as a guitar-obsessed teen who thought turning my dad’s stereo into a multi-track recorder was an awesome idea. After a few basement bands, liberal arts college, touring as a roadie with my siblings Amy Rigby and Michael McMahon’s cowpunk band Last Roundup and a couple stints working in politics and government – on Capitol Hill in DC with a Member of US Congress and with the United Nations in NYC – I finally found a profession and ultimately a vocation in music.

I spent the 1990’s grunge era with my DC-based rock band Big Black Nun touring and recording. This was an amazing crash course in rock ‘n roll as I received an advance as a writer from SESAC, played hundreds of shows up and down the East Coast and got to see the inside of studios like Electric LadyThe Power Station and The Carriage House while working with producer Warren Bruleigh and session drummer Tal Bergman (Billy Idol, Rod Stewart, Peter Cetera, Joe Bonamassa).

In the late 90’s, I landed my first gig as a producer, moved to NYC, joined the band Spottiswoode & His Enemies and began rocking with and recording an ever-growing list of artists.   In 2008, I moved New Warsaw Studio into my current commercial space in Bushwick on the grounds of Brooklyn Fire Proof.
