Cordelia Stephens’ Neo-Folk
by on November 15, 2016 in NEWS

Cordelia Stephens has released her latest album – Wide Awake Dream – with the official record release scheduled for December 5 at Manhattan’s Rockwood Music Hall.

This is Cordelia’s second album produced and mixed at New Warsaw and follows up on her 2011 debut Threshold.  While Threshold had a Brit rock flavor, the new album leans in a more folk direction with acoustic guitars, upright bass, fiddle and accordion at the forefront on several tunes — but tempered with modern textures provided by electric guitars and keyboards to keep the sound contemporary.  A “neo-folk” record if you will.
