ROYO has just released his debut avant-pop album “Minniesland”.
Originally from Belgium, multi-instrumentalist Thierry Royo is a member of the music collective Pablo’s Eye. He lives with his family in New York City.
Thierry says the record was “inspired by long walks in Harlem” and is “a collection of impressionistic tone poems about lost or imaginary places, musicians and artists, it sings the magic of errance and small moments.”
Had a wonderful time, co-producing and mixing this record as Thierry built all the tracks at his home studio in Harlem and then brought them to New Warsaw for further sculpting and mixing. It was always exciting to open up the song files and see what style, vocals, words, instrumentation and sounds were waiting there and just dive right in – acting on instinct and inspiration until a mix was done.
